Polk State College maintains full service academic libraries to serve students, staff and faculty at both the Winter Haven and Lakeland campuses. The libraries on each of the main campuses provide the Polk State community with professional reference and research assistance, information literacy instruction sessions, library tours, rich academically appropriate print and electronic resource collections, interlibrary loan services, circulation services, computer access and assistance, course reserves, and Internet access including wifi.
The Lakeland Campus Library provides services to the Airside Center while the Winter Haven Campus Library is responsible for providing services to the J.D. Alexander Center in Lake Wales.
The Teaching Learning Computing Centers (TLCCs) at the Winter Haven, Lakeland, and JD Alexander Center provide students with tutoring, testing, and technology services. The TLCCs offer tutoring in-person and online in a variety of subjects. Help is available for writing, math, computers, various sciences, and languages on a walk-in or appointment basis, depending upon the campus. A variety of testing services are available, including placement tests, CLEP, TEAS, and others, by appointment through RegisterBlast. Lastly, technology provided at the TLCC includes computers, printing, copying, and scanning. There are also computer programs and models for studying biology and anatomy and physiology.
