TOPICS SUCH AS ABORTION, CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, EUTHANASIA, GUN CONTROL, AND CREATIONISM ARE NOT APPROPRIATE FOR AN INFORMATIVE RESEARCH INVESTIGATION.

The following are appropriate research ideas:

1.  You may want to be writing about America There is a lot happening in America and 2009.  There are issues concerning health care, jobs, energy, and social concerns of all kinds.  You could create a research question that develops information that provides an explanation or a solution for one of these issues?  Opposing Viewpoints will help you with your topic.

2.  Then, of course, there is your own, personal issue only related to you that needs defining and investigating from what you find concerning this topic on Opposing Viewpoints.  If you should choose to create your own investigation, make sure it is informative in a meaningful manner such as how it affects people and what kind of value is provided.  Many students have hobbies that are interesting and informative.

STEP TWO: PREWRITING

Your next task is to complete the RESEARCH PROPOSAL.  The proposal is usually approved by the instructor according to your pertinent and timely secondary research as well as a primary research task such as an experiment, survey, or interview.  You are to complete the RESEARCH PROPOSAL FORMAT you received in class.  Here are further requirements:

5.  All technical aspects of your Works Cited page will be highly evaluated according to proper copy and paste format as well as the use of citation machines when needed.
