Finding Scholarly Articles: How to find scholarly articles

How to find scholarly articles

When searching the databases for scholarly articles, you will usually see a checkbox to click before you complete your search, so that your results will only include scholarly or peer reviewed articles.  They are sometimes called refereed articles, but these terms essentially mean the same thing.

If you have found an article that you want to use for your paper and are unsure if it is scholarly, feel free to ask one of our Librarians who can help you.

See below for an example of what the search screen looks like in the Academic Search Complete database.
