OTA Program: Finding Books & eBooks

This library guide details the library resources available for Occupational Therapy Assistant students.

Polk State Libraries have a rich collection of over 100,000 print titles & 100,000 eBook titles for Academic research & leisure reading purposes. The following videos will teach you how to search this vast collection effectively & efficiently.

  • As a student at Polk, you will need your Student ID card to check out materials (There is no limit to how many books you can check out).
  • Check-Out periods are 3 weeks long & are renewable (Renew 3 ways: Online, by phone call, & in person).
  • eBooks can be viewed on phones/tablets & computers (Require you to log in to your library account).

Finding Books on the Shelves

In the Library Catalog, enter your search terms and click search. In the video (see below), you will learn to use the library search engine to find books on the shelves.
