EBSCO Curriculum Builder: Home

What is Curriculum Builder?

Curriculum Builder is a service offered through EBSCOhost (a company that distributes and manages many of our library databases). Curriculum Builder allows you to find and link content from library databases, e-books, streaming videos, and other online resources directly into your course in Canvas.

You can create an annotated reading list and see which students have clicked on which links in your reading list.

Curriculum Builder enables you to

  • circumvent the complicated download/upload/renaming process of adding online resources to Canvas
  • provide straightforward access for students within Canvas
  • potentially reduce textbook costs for students
  • provide automatic feedback to librarians about what the resources you value and use

How to use Curriculum Builder

Here’s how Curriculum Builder works:

  1. Search your library’s content from within the LMS
  2. Simply click “Add to Reading List” and your selections are saved
  3. Annotate reading list items and copy other reading lists created at your institution.
