Blended Learning Library Resources: Library Databases

Library Databases

A library database is an electronic collection of records containing either full-text documents (text, video, audio), citations, or abstracts of articles.

With access to over 100 databases, Polk State College libraries provide students and faculty access to thousands of articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers on general or specific disciplines as well as music and video.

These databases are available 24/7 and anywhere there is an Internet connection.

To access the Databases, click here.

A login is required to access these resources.  First, verify that the college is set to Polk State College in the dropdown box.  If not, change it. Then enter your library Borrower ID and PIN.

  • Students:  Borrower ID = your student ID number, no dashes. PIN = last four digits of your student ID number.
  • Employees:  Borrower ID = your employee ID number (PID), PIN = employee ID number.  PIN must be four digits.  Use leading zeros to create a four digit PIN, i.e. 0xxx.

Polk State College is committed to equal access/equal opportunity in its programs, activities, and employment. For additional information, visit polk.edu/equity.
