If a database does not have a peer reviewed limit option, that might mean several things. The database could contain sources that do not typically go through the peer review process (such as ebooks, newspaper articles, or videos). And/Or, it could mean that all the articles in that database are already peer reviewed. Let's look at this for two of our databases:
Sage Journals (Sage) contains only peer-reviewed articles.
JSTOR contains only peer-reviewed articles, where applicable. Some sources, such as primary sources (e.g. a letter or a speech), do not go through the peer reviewed process, so in JSTOR these sources would not be peer reviewed.
